Hi, I'm Raechel.
I'm a photographer based in the Dayton, Ohio area where I was born and raised. I'm a lover of human expression through the arts. Photography is the medium in which I personally place and process the space between myself and my thoughts whereas professionally, photography allows me to serve and connect with other humans all while encapsulating the moments that make their life. Photography reminds us all that we, and our lives, are art.
My professional passions of photography lie within weddings, families, and couples portrait collections. I have been serving clients professionally for 5 years. My first year of photography was spent honing my craft under the mentorship of a dear friend who is herself a phenomenal family, couples, and wedding photographer of 16 years, business owner, and human. Taylor Kaderly, many thanks my dear friend. After my year of internship I hit the ground running with my own business and I'm so grateful that it has continued to flourish.
This medium of art is so vast and I remain a student to it learning all I can. Constants that remain in my photography are realism and storytelling. My eye is represented in a picture through true tones and real emotion. Though being a photographer requires and entails the front, back, and middle of running a business it is all for not unless I'm ready to be with you behind the lense. This is why my client experience is of utmost importance. I aspire to host my clients into an organic space where their essence is able to flow freely, even in the hustle and bustle that tends to take space on a wedding day, my presence and direction is there to keep you and your current season in focus.
Documenting my own life and family was the stepping stone that led me to professional photography. Aw in the moments of witnessing my children be their fullest selves was when the realization hit me. The realization that our lives are immensely worthy of frame. Frames and stills of this ever moving and flowing existence help us preserve the memories. Photography is a gift that transcends the exchange of time shared between myself and my clients reminding us how beautiful and complex life is.
For many years to come I hope to serve others to savor the flavor of having lived, which in my opinion is the honor of our human experience.
